Review of The Couple at the Table by Sophie Hannah

I love Sophie Hannah books and had The Couple at the Table on pre-order as soon as I heard about it.

Tevendon is a luxury couples only resort and it is where Jane and William are spending their honeymoon. Only six couple are in residence along with the resort manager.

Jane receives a note telling her to beware of the couple at the table nearest yours, but the way the room is laid out means that there is no one couple closer than the other. However, when Jane is found murdered it surely must have been someone there, but everyone has an alibi. So, who did it and most importantly, who sent the note and why?

What follows is a mystery full of twists and turns with characters who are not always what they make themselves out to be and a grand finale with all of the suspects pulled together in the same room.

This book had me on the edge of my seat the whole time – it’s fast paced and totally addictive to read.

You will be guessing until the very end – a great mystery. Highly recommended.
