I am delighted to be taking part in the Random Things blog
tour for Kalmann today. I received a copy of this book as part of the blog
tour.
Kalmann is a hunter and fisherman who is the self-appointed
Sheriff of Raufarhofn. Kalmann knows the remote villages and everyone who lives
in them well and believes that everything is under control and safe whith him
monitoring it. However, sometimes Kalmann doesn’t see things in the same way as
other people and until recently he has relied on his elderly grandfather as a
voice of reason.
However, when a prominent local man goes missing and Kalmann
finds a pool of blood, people suspect foul play and Iceland’s media descend on
the small village. Before long, Kalmann is at the heart of this all and is sure
that his wisodom and courage will pull him through.
I loved this book, especially the setting of Iceland and I
have not read very many books set there.
Even though it appears like a serious crime may have taken place,
there are a lot of laugh out loud moments in this book with there situations
that Kalmann gets himself into.
This is a fast-paced book that did not disappoint.
I highly recommend this book, especially if you enjoy
thrillers and crime fiction.
