Today is my stop on the Random Things blog tour for In the Summertime by Maeve Haran.

Everything seems to be going wrong for Georgina, her marriage has fallen apart and now a long awaited holiday to Sicily has just been cancelled.

When she gets an unexpected offer to go back to her seaside hometown and help solve a mystery at the local manor, she decides to give it a go.

Arriving back in Southdown after many years away, Gina can’t believe the change and throws herself into rediscovering this charming seaside town. Helping Maudie in the manor doesn’t feel so much like work either.

When her friends get together, she realises how much she has missed their company and when she bumps into Danny Napier her old dancing partner sparks definitely fly. However, Danny has a girlfriend and soon there is much bigger secret that needs to be resolved.

I really enjoyed this book and I can’t believe I haven’t read any books by this author before.

This is a lovely summery read that will keep you guessing until the end. I also love the yellow summery cover!
