Review of After Anne by Logan Steiner

Today is my stop on the Random Things blog tour for After Anne by Logan Steiner.

I was fascinated by the idea of this book which is a novel about the life of Lucy Maud Montgomery, the author of Anne of Green Gables.

You get to know Maud as a young woman on Prince Edward Island who has dreams much greater than her grandmother has envisioned for her.

As Maud begins writing about Anne, she is visited by the handsome new minister. Soon she is forced to make a decision that will change the course of her life.

This is a beautifully written book that I thoroughly enjoyed reading. The author delicately weaves the life of the author and her famous character together in this impressive debut novel.

I also think this cover is beautiful!

OGAN STEINER is a litigator and brief-writing specialist at a boutique law firm. She graduated summa cum laude from Pomona College and cum laude from Harvard Law School. She lives in Denver with her husband and daughter. After Anne is her first novel.
