Review of Becoming Liz Taylor by Elizabeth Delo

Today is my stop on the blog tour for Becoming Liz Taylor by Elizabeth Delo.

Val is lonely. She has been widowed for fifty years and is estranged from her son. She finds splice is spending the evening dressed up as her idol Liz Taylor.

One day she is walking back from the hair dressers in Weston-super-Marr when she sees a pram and thinks the baby has been abandoned. In a split second, she takes the baby and sets off a devastating series of events.

I did feel sorry for Val and how lonely she was, but I just wanted her to come to her senses and take the baby back.

This is heartbreaking read about grief and loneliness. It will pull at your heartstrings as Val battles to convince herself that she has truly done the right thing.

Becoming Liz Taylor is an impressive debut novel and I will be looking out for more books by this author.
