Review of The Booklovers Library by Madeline Martin

Today is my stop on the blog tour for The Booklover’s Library by Madeline Martin.

I am a big fan of WWII fiction and was really excited to read the latest book by Madeline Martin.

In Nottingham in 1939, just as the country is on the brink of war, widow Emma Taylor is looking for a job to support herself and her young daughter Olivia.

Emma finds a job at the Boots lending library, but her happiness is short lived when Olivia is sent away as a child evacuee.

Can Emma keep her job and will friendships form as she waits for Olivia to return?

I really enjoyed this book, which vividly brings this era to life and shows how the power of books helped to bring people together in the hardest of time. My grandmother was an evacuee and I am always interested when reading books which focus on this era.

I would highly recommend for fans of historical fiction and WWII fiction.
