I am really excited to be taking part in the Random Things
blog tour for Adventure Caravanning with Dogs today. I received a copy of this
book as part of the blog tour.
I love driving through Europe, so I jumped at the chance to
read this book. I have never taken my dogs on holiday abroad, but have thought
about it many times so I really liked the idea that this book also included
travelling with dogs.
It Never Rains But it Paws is the fourth book in Jacqueline
Lambert’s Adventure Caravanning with Dogs series.
Jackie and Mark have given up their jobs and are living the
dream by travelling across Europe. However, they are on a race against time to
leave the UK for their travels so that they can beat the Brexit deadline and keep
their pet passports.
When they finally manage to leave the UK, they think that is
the biggest hurdle but little do they know what is in store. After a lovely
autumn travelling across France and Italy (I loved the descriptions of Barolo),
they arrive for a skiing season in Monte Rosa. It looks like the perfect apartment,
but they don’t realise that the pandemic is just around the corner and soon
they find themselves in lockdown there.
I particularly enjoyed the way that the book is interspersed
with historical facts about the area that they are travelling through. If you
enjoy driving across Europe there are so many parts of this book that you will
relate too. I can’t wait to get started on my holiday journey this summer now.
This is such a fun, inspiring and well written book that takes you on a
European adventure with some canine company. I’m looking forward to the next
instalment in this fantastic series.
