Review of Hostage by Clare Mackintosh

I am thrilled to be taking part in the Random Things blog tour for Hostage today. I received a copy of this book as part of the tour.

You are given the unthinkable option – save hundreds of lives or save your child. What would you do?

Mina is a flight attendant and she is working on the first ever non-stop flight between London and Sydney. The whole world is watching this landmark event and everyone is very excited. However, Mina is thinking more about her young daughter Sophia who is staying with her estranged husband Adam and she just can’t wait to get back to her.

However, shortly after take-off, she receives an anonymous note threatening to bring down the plane and it seems that she is central to their plan.

They are the last people that Mina would help, but when they tell her that they have her daughter, she knows that she would have to make an impossible choice.

I have to say wow, this book had me on the edge of my seat the whole way through and I did not want to put it down!

I actually read this in two sittings, as it is so gripping. If you enjoy thrillers then this is a book for you, it’s action packed and full of twists and turns. This is the first book that I have read by Clare Mackintosh and I can’t wait to read more from this author.
