Review of A Corruption of Blood by Ambrose Parry

I am delighted to be taking part in the Random Things tour for A Corruption of Blood by Ambrose Parry. I received a copy of this book as part of the tour.

A Corruption of Blood is the third book in the Raven and Fisher mystery series.

Sarah Fisher is trying to keep a safe distance from Dr Will Raven and travels to Paris. She is determined to study medicine and become a qualified practitioner in her own right, even though all of those around her think it is a dreadful idea.

Meanwhile, when Dr Will Raven stumbles across a crowd he get closer to see what they are looking at and finds that it is human remains that have washed up in Leith. Soon he is lured into the dark Edinburgh underworld.

This is such a great book and a new favourite series of mine, I particularly love the setting of Edinburgh, which is vividly portrayed complete with all of the sights, sounds and smells.

A Corruption of Blood is a dark and haunting mystery that is full of twists and turns.

I highly recommend this, especially for fans of historical and crime fiction.
