Review of Quarter to Midnight by Karen Rose

AD-PR Product.

If you enjoy heart-stopping action and deep mystery, then this is the book for you! Once again Karen Rose grips the reader with her painstaking plot and fast-moving events set in New Orleans.

Just how do you bring down those in charge of protecting society who are nevertheless deeply and fatally corrupt?

Follow Gabe Hebert, chef extraordinaire and restaurant owner, who suspects that his ex-policeman father Rocky`s death was not suicide. The police have closed the case, but Gabe is not satisfied. He clandestinely orders a private autopsy and with the help of his father`s ex-partner Burk Broussard`s Private Detective Agency, is able to unlock the truth, the key to which lies with a young man who was ten years old at the time at which he witnessed a murder one terrible night during hurricane Katrina.

This murder has been so significant that it will lead Gabe and Molly, Broussard`s star investigator, through many shocking and terrifying scenarios until they arrive at the truth..and find love on the way.

I found this an absorbing read and would recommend it to those readers who enjoy roller-coaster action combined with subtle (and not-so subtle) complications and shocking revelations.
