Review of Shake it up, Beverley by Suzan Holder

Today I’m taking part in the Random Things blog tour for Shake It Up Beverley by Suzan Holder. I received a copy of this book as part of the tour.

Beatles obsessed Bev is widowed with three older children. She finds herself at home alone with her Beatles posters and huge fan collection and decides that it’s time to try and meet someone.

With the help of her friend, she sets up a dating profile with the name Penny4. The requests to chat then start flying in, but Bev’s first few dating attempts only seem to be a disaster. There is a man who takes one look at Bev and disappears and a very strange man who is obsessed with tights.

Then she meets fellow Beatles fan Scott Smith and things seem to start moving in the direction, but is Scott really everything he seems?

I really enjoyed reading this book and getting to know Bev. It has some very funny laugh out loud moments, but also tackles serious issues too.

Set in Liverpool, Shake It Up, Beverley is a heart-warming and very funny romantic comedy.
