Review of The Blood Line by Will Schindler

I am thrilled to be taking part in the blog tour for The Blood Line by Will Schindler. I received a copy of this book as part of the tour.

Clare Beacham is an MP, when she returns home after a busy day and finds a package on the doorstep she assumes it’s a delivery for her partner. However, what’s inside is terrifying - someone has sent her a severed head.

As the police try to find out who the victim was and why they are targeting Clare, the murderer is already watching his next target. Whoever this is, they are targeting Clare but the question is why?

DI Finn has returned from six months leave and this is his first case. Alongside DC Mattie Paulson, they are working against the clock to find out who is doing this. Soon they discover that everyone is hiding something and no one can be trusted.

I was a bit worried that this book would push me out of my comfort zone, but I couldn’t put it down.

It’s gripping and I liked the chapters that alternated between the different characters, as it gave a back story for each person. I also liked the shorter chapters - I kept thinking I will just read one more and ended up reading Kate into the night to find out what happened.

Highly recommended for fans of crime fiction and thrillers.
