Today is my stop on the Random Things blog tour for Isaac and the Egg by Bobby Palmer.
Isaac is struggling and overwhelmed with grief. When he goes to the woods and let’s out a scream, he is shocked to hear a scream back and goes to investigate.
When he comes across a large egg, he can’t believe his eyes and picks it up and take it home. This is, however, no ordinary egg and has a life and language all of its own.
What follows is a magical journey of discovery and transformation for Isaac and the egg.
This is a book unlike anything I’ve read before and I really enjoyed it. It is heartbreaking, but uplifting at the same time and was an absolute joy to read.
A wonderful debut that is so different to anything I have ever read before.
