Today is my stop on the Random Things blog tour for Strangers in the Night by Heather Webb. I received a proof copy of this book as part of the tour.

Strangers in the Night tells a fictional account of the relationship between Ava Gardner and Frank Sinatra.

As Ava’s fame is climbing in 1940s Hollywood, Francis career, and family man persona , is plummeting. When they meet sparks fly, but Ava knows that she must preserve her image if she wants her career to succeed. It seems an unlikely match, but the chemistry, and the sparks, are there and this book imagines the love story that existed between Ava and Frank.

As soon as I started reading this book, I felt like I had been transported to Hollywoods Golden age. The cast and the decades it spans made this an addictive read that I did not want to put down.

It’s a rollercoaster read full of the highs and lows of two of the greatest stars of the twentieth century. Although a fictional a account of their relationship, I did feel like the author really brought both the characters and the era to life and I didn’t want this book to end.

Thank you to Random Things tour for including me on the tour. You can follow the other stops on the tour here:
