Today is my stop on the Random Things blog tour for Between Us by Mhairi McFarlane.
Joe and Roisin are joining their friends for a weekend away at a big stately home. Not only is it a reunion of their ‘Brian Club’ a group they formed when they all worked at Waterstones, it is also a triple celebration - a birthday, an engagement and the launch of Joes new drama on tv.
As they all gather round to watch, Roisin is shocked when secrets she told Joe are played out on screen and she can’t believe he has betrayed her in this manner.
Roisin starts to question everything - her friendship and her relationship and it leads to some unexpected revelations amongst their friendship group.
I really enjoyed reading this and there are many laugh out loud moments and a lot of drama.
This is a fun read that I didn’t want to put down, by the end of the book I felt like I knew Roisin and her friends.
