Review of The Girls of Summer by Katie Bishop

 Ad-PR product.

I am thrilled to be taking part in the Random Things tour for The Girls of Summer by Katie Bishop today.

Rachel has been in love with Alistair since she was seventeen years old and met him whilst she was on holiday in a remote Greek island.

However something went wrong and now sixteen years later Rachel is now married to Tom and living a very different life.

Rachel and Alistair haven’t seen each other since, but when she unexpectedly runs into someone who was there that summer, she reconnects with Alistair to try and find out what happened that summer.

There is a dark edge to this book like you know something bad has happened and the author leads you towards this revelations.

I particularly liked the way in which the book alternates between then and now as it gives you the chance to look at how this story has evolved and try and guess what happened.

This is an addictive read that is a fantastic debut. I was glued to this from the very first page and can’t wait to read more from this author.
