Today is my stop on the Random Things blog tour for The Other Guest by Heather Perks.
Laila and her husband James have just arrived at the luxury resort of Ixos in Greece. They desperately need a break and to get their relationship back on track, but Laila can’t help but think that the money could have been better spent elsewhere.
As Laila relaxes by the pool, she can’t help but be drawn in by the other guests and enjoys imagining their lives. In particular, glamorous Em with her teenage sons is a point of fascination with her. However, Em has no idea that Laila is watching her family so closely.
When just five days later a terrible event happens, Laila is sure that she knows what happens but it telling Em she sets off a chain of events that threatens everything.
I loved the luxury hotel setting and this book kept me guessing until the very end. I am looking forward to reading more books by this author.
