Today I am taking part in the Random Things blog tour for Conviction by Jack Jordan.
The book begins five days before the high profile trial of Wade Darling who is accused of murdering his family. Wade states that he is innocent and barrister Neve has just been given this case. It could be make it break for her promotion to QC, so she is giving it her everything.
Then, just days before the trial Neve is approached by a man on the tube. He reveals that he knows who she is and he is aware of the dark secret she is hiding and that if she does not lose the case then he will reveal it.
Now Neve must make a terrible choice - go against everything she stands for and let a man be imprisoned for a crime he didn’t commit or have her secrets revealed and risk her own freedom.
Oh my goodness, what a nail biting thriller -
this was an addictive read that I could not put down. This is so well written, you don’t know what Neve’s secret is and it kept me guessing the whole way through.
I can’t wait to read more books by this author. Highly recommended for all thriller fans.
