Review of The Royal Windsor Secret by Christine Wells

Today is my stop on the Random Things blog tour for The Royal Windsor Secret by Christine Wells.

It’s 1935 and Cleo Davenport has lived a privileged existence growing up at the Shepheards Hotel in Cairo where she is known as the Princess. However, her life is not all as it seems as she was abandoned there as a baby and does not know who her parents are, but rumours swirl that it is the Prince of Wales.

The wealthy sister of the lady who has raised Cleo takes her to London to make her debut. Cleo enjoys society but really wants to be designing jewellery. However, she cannot move forward until finding out about her past.

The story sweeps back twenty years to Paris in 1917 and a passionate affair between a young Prince and a courtesan that threatens the very heart of the monarchy.

I really enjoyed this book. I particularly like this era and I am a big fan of books set in Paris.

The time slip part worked so well and you feel like you get to know both sides of the story.

I would recommend for fans of historical fiction.
