Today is my stop on the Random Things blog tour for The Last Resort by Heidi Perks.
The book opens dramatically with Erin being rushed to hospital after a hit and run. It seems like she was walking alone in the middle of the night. What could have led to this?
Jumping back six months, we see Erin and her husband Will at home. Things aren’t quite right for them and they decide to go to couples therapy.
Their therapist Maggie wants to help, but she doesn’t know who to trust. It almost seems like they are both hiding something.
Now with Erin hovering between life and death, they must find out this happens and if it was an accident or is there something much more sinister at play?
This book pulled me in from the first page and I did not want to put it down. I really liked the short chapters and the way that the book moved between the different characters.
A fantastic, twisty read that I highly recommend for thriller fans.
