Today is my stop on the Random Things blog tour for The Hidden Years by Rachel Hore.

I love Rachel Hore’s books and couldn’t wait to read The Hidden Years.

Set between 1966 and 1939, the book opens with Belle abandoning her studies to travel to Cornwall with her new boyfriend Gray. In Cornwall they are staying at an old house called Silverwood, which is home to an art community.

For some reason that Belle can’t place, the name Silverwood seems familiar to her, but as far as she knows she hasn’t been to Cornwall before.

In 1939, Imogen Lockhart arrived at Silverwood when it was a school. What is her story and how is she connected to Belle.

This is a beautifully written book full of secrets and past lives, which weaves together the story of these two young girls women decades apart.

I really enjoyed this and would recommend for all fans of historical fiction.
