Today is my stop on the blog tour for Meet me When my heart stops by Becky Hunter.
I really enjoyed One Moment by Becky Hunter last year and was keen to read this author’s new book.
Emery is only five years old when her heart stops for the first time and she finds out she has a rare heart condition. It means that her heart could stop at any time, but if acted on quickly enough can be restarted.
However, this means she is technically dead. Every time Emery’s heart stops she meets Nick. He is in the afterlife and there to guide people, except Emery surprised him and went back to life.
The book sees Emery as she grows up and experiences things. However, she always has a Nick at the back of her mind almost longing to see him, but at the same time knowing that seeing him means she is dead.
This was a moving and emotional read of two people who are destined to never be together.

About the Author
Becky Hunter lived and worked in London for several years before moving to Mozambique to volunteer with horses and try her hand at writing. A few years, a few destinations, and a few jobs later she had the idea that would become One Moment. Alongside writing, she now works as a freelance editor and publicist, splitting her time between Bristol and London, and constantly trying to plan the next adventure.
