Review of The Grand Illusion by Syd Moore

 

Today is my stop on the Random Things blog tour for The Grand Illusion by Syd Moore.

It's June 1940 and Daphne Devine is working as assistant to stage magician Jonty Trevelyan.

They are shocked when the Secret Service asks for the their help in the war effort and are drawn into a world that seemed possible only in a magical setting.

Will their efforts be enough to help and what risks will Daphne have to take?

This was such a fascinating read. I loved the theme of the occult and had not read anything set like this during the second world war.

I highly recommend for fans of historical fiction and WWII fiction.
