Today is my stop on the Ransom PR blog tour for Cabaret Macabre by Tom Mead.

Ever since reading The Murder Wheel by Tom Mead I have been looking forward to reading more books by this author.

It’s 1938 and Joseph Spector is back to investigate his most complicated case yet.

Victor Silvius has been put in a private sanitorium after attacking judge Sir Giles Drury. When Sir Giles starts to receive strange threatening letters, his wife is certain it is Victor.

However, Victor’s sister Caroline is convinced that Sir Giles is planning to murder her brother. Caroline enlists the help of Inspector Flint from Scotland Yard. Whilst the Drury’s liaise with sleuth Joseph Spector to help with their case.

Who is telling the truth and how at a country house can a bullet be shot through a locked window? What is the connection?

It’s not long before Spector and Flint will find themselves, and their investigations, drawn together. Who is telling the truth and who will be the next victim?

This was such a brilliant gripping read. I loved the 1930s English country house setting and theatrical feel to this book. Murder mystery fans this is one for you!

I also love this cover!
