Today is my stop on the Random Things blog tour for The King’s Messenger by Susanna Kearsley.
It’s 1613 and there is shock when King James’ son, Prince Henry, dies suddenly and is feared to have been poisoned.
Andrew Logan, one of the Kings Messengers, is tasked with travelling north to arrest Sir David Moray, the man that the King suspects is behind the poisoning.
Phoebe Westaway is not a fan of Andrew Logan, but finds herself drawn into the plans when her father is asked to help Logan.
It’s no easy journey, especially as Sir David will do everything he can to avoid being taken to London. Before long Phoebe realises that she needs Logan’s help more than she wants to admit.
This was such a gripping read and I really enjoyed the historical setting. I would recommend for fans of historical fiction.
