Review of The Christie Affair by Nina de Gramont

I am a big fan of Agatha Christie books, so I pre-ordered a copy of The Christie Affair by Nina de Gramont as soon as I heard about it.

This novel imagines of what happened to Agatha Christie when she disappeared for eleven days in 1926. It is narrated by Nan O’Dea, the mistress of Agatha’s husband Archie Christie, but the reader is given the dual perspectives of Agatha and Nan.

I really did not expect to like Nan, but as you learn about her past it is hard not to feel sympathetic and I loved that her past and the events leading up to her meeting Archie Christie were included in the story.

Before long, the lives of Agatha and Nan become tied together making them the most unlikely of allies. There are so many twists and turns in this book that I did not want to put it down and I ended up reading it in just two sittings!

I love that this is a re-imagining of both a real even and real mystery – unsolved to this day.

I highly recommend for fans of Agatha Christie and for anyone who likes a good mystery.

5 stars.
