Review of Little Drummer by Kjell Ola Dahl

I am delighted to be taking part in the Random Things blog tour for Little Drummer today. I received a copy of this book as part of the blog tour.

When a woman is found dead in a car park in Norway it looks like she has taken an overdose, that’s until the forensics report comes back and suggests foul play instead. Then as the two Oslo detectives on the case, Frolich and Gunnastrada, begin looking into her private life they discover that her Kenyan boyfriend who is a scientist seems to have disappeared. Soon their investigation leads them into the dark and underhand world of pharmaceutical deals.

As another detective called Lise joins the inquiries, their investigation takes on a international stance and they travel to Kenya where hey uncover a vast dishonest network of shocking corruption in the world of foreign aid and medical supplies. However, danger is never far away in this case and soon it becomes clear that not everyone is going to make it out alive.

Wow, what an amazing book – I was on the edge of my seat the whole way through and it kept me guessing until the very end.

This is a fast paced and gripping read – it is so good that I read it in two sittings because I couldn’t put it down.

It is actually the first book that I have read by this author, so I will definitely be checking out the rest of this series.

Highly recommended.
