Review of The Chemical Cocktail by Fiona Erskine

I am delighted to taking part in the Random Things blog tour for The Chemical Cocktail today. I received a copy of this book as part of the blog tour

The Chemical Cocktail is the third book in the Jaq Silver series. Jaq’s mother has died and has left her an inheritance that seems more trouble than it is worth. Some rolls of ld paper seem worthless, but one newer piece brings a terrible shock and leads Jaq on a journey to re-discover a past that she thought was long buried.

When some armed men appear in Brazil demanding the strongbox that her papers came in, Jaq starts to wonder why they would want it. She is given only one week to retrieve the box and get back to Brazil.

What follows is a race against time for Jaq to uncover her past and get back to Brazil.

This book is nail biting and full of twists and turns – I did not want to put it down.

It is actually the first book that I have read from this series, so I am definitely going to get the previous books. That said, it also reads well as a standalone book.

This is a gripping and fast paced book that takes you from Brazil to Portugal and the UK. I highly recommend it if you are a fan of thrillers and I can’t wait to read this author’s next book.
