The Loyal Friend follows a group of women who know each other
from their local health club.
Susan has a pampered and seemingly perfect life, but her
fondness for a glass of rose conceals many dark secrets.
Grace is new and it appears like she has a happy life with
her two children, but things are different behind closed doors.
Natalie is a loner and comes across as insecure, but
develops a close friendship with Jade. It soon becomes clear that Natalie’s ordered
life is a mask for her past.
Every week they meet up for fitness instructor Jades
classes, but then one week she doesn’t turn up and seems to have vanished. As
they delve into the circumstances surrounding Jade’s disappearance their own secrets
threaten to come to the surface and soon it appears that no one can be trusted.
This is a fast paced and gripping read that I did not want
to put down. It is full of secrets, lies and twists that I did not see coming.
I loved this and highly recommend it, especially if you’re a
fan of thrillers.
