Review of Twelve Months and a Day by Louisa Young

I am delighted to be taking part in the Random Things blog tour for Twelve Months and a Day. I received a copy of this book as part of the tour.

Roisin and Nico and Rasmus and Jay are just two ordinary couples whose loving relationships are broken by death. Both Roisin and Jay are consumed by grief and find it hard to move on with their lives.

However, what they don’t realise is that Jay and Rasmus are still with them, but as ghosts. They two are incapable of moving on without their partners and are determined to continue to play a part in their lives.

Jay wants to be a matchmaker and thinks that Roisin and Rasmus should be together. Nico, however, is not so sure and is jealous of life moving on without him.

The novel follows Rosin and Rasmus as they begin the next stage of their life contemplating love after death.

This is such a beautifully written and compelling book that I didn’t really want it to end, it is very emotional but at the same time heart warming.

It is a story of love, loss and grief and is very moving to read.
