Review of The Double Life of Daisy Hemmings by Joanna Nadin

I am so excited to be taking part in the Random Things blog tour for The Double Life of Daisy Hemmings today. I received a copy of this book as part of the blog tour.

The Double Life of Daisy Hemmings is set between 1988 and 2018. Daisy Hemmings is a famous actress and the time has come for her to write her autobiography.

James Tate is chosen as the ghostwriter, his job is to tell the story of other people’s lives. The issue is that James knows far more about Daisy than he lets on and she knows him too. At least she knew him when he was Jason – someone he hasn’t been for over thirty years and he is determined not to be found out now.

The fateful summer of 1988 in Cornwall is where James first encountered Daisy and, like most people, became entranced by her. It’s also the summer where someone ended up dead and something that no one has talked about since.

However, when the past catches up with James and with Daisy, how can you tell what is the truth and what is a lie?

I love the dual timeline aspect of this book, as you feel like you have an insider knowledge of what happened before. There are some twists in the storyline as you watch the summer of 1988 unfold in the beautiful setting of Cornwall.

I also love this cover.
