Review of The Soho Killer by Biba Pearce

I am thrilled to be taking part in the Random Things blog tour for The Soho Killer today. I received a digital copy of the book as part of the tour.

This book is part of the Detective Rob Miller series, but is the first I have read by this author and also works well as a standalone novel.

Detective Rob Miller is on a personal call in central London when he is asked to urgently head to Soho Square where a body has been discovered.

On arrival it seems most likely that the man discovered has been murdered, but how did he end up being in Soho Square without anyone noticing. Rob thinks that the case will be passed to the police who cover this area, but because they are so busy it ends up falling to him.

When Rob goes to meet the dead man’s partner in Hampstead, he finds he has an alibi and seems very distressed. Whilst, he doesn’t think he is involved alarm bells start ringing when his alibi doesn’t check out and he wasn’t where he claimed to be on the night of the murder. What is he hiding and how is it connected?

I really enjoyed this book. It is gripping and fast paced with quite a few surprises in store for the reader. I’m planning to go back and read the earlier books in the series now.
