I am really excited to be kicking off the Random Things blog tour for The Crinkle Crankle Wall by Sabina Ostrowska.
I love reading travel writing and especially books about people moving abroad, so I jumped at the chance to read this.
Sabina and her husband tire of the expat lifestyle in the UAE and decide to buy an old cottage in rural Andalusia in Spain. The problem is they have never actually visited before, but how hard can finding a new house really be?
It’s 2012 and Sabina and Robert fall in love with an old cottage - it needs some work, but has a pool and an olive grove. However on moving in they find more and more jobs to do, unplanned events at the same time as getting to grips with the language. Can they turn this old cottage into the home they dreamed of?
This book has some very funny moments and I do admire them for taking this on. It’s a fantastic read that is very inspiring if, like me, you dream of moving abroad some day.
I am so excited to see that this is the first in a series and cannot wait to read the next instalment!
Thank you to Random Things Tours for including me. Check out the banner below to follow the other stops on the tour:
