Review of The Forgotten Garden by Sharon Gosling

AD-PR Product.

Today is my stop on the Random things blog tour for The Forgotten Garden by Sharon Gosling.

Luisa is a talented landscape gardener who has become stuck working for a bullying boss. When she is offered the opportunity to transform a piece of land, it is everything that Luisa and her late husband had dreamed of doing but without him it seems like an impossible task.

With some persuasion from her sister and her late husbands godfather, Luisa decides to give the project a go and arrived in the small rundown town of Collaton near the sea in Cumbria. She doesn’t get off to a great start, but does get the banking of local PE teacher Cas who sees her vision for the local community.

Cas ropes in her alerted but troubled teenager Harper to help with the project. As the project starts to take shape, Luisa hopes this will give the local community a second chance. As her friendship with Cas blossoms, she also begins to wonder if it’s possible to have a second chance in love too.

This is a beautiful story about love, loss and hope. I am looking forward to reading lots more by this author.

I particularly liked the short chapters in this book. I found I didn’t want to put it down.

A wonderful book that I would highly recommend.
