Today I am taking part in the One Moment blogger day and I am re-sharing the review I wrote earlier this year.
In one moment your life can totally change. For Scarlett, a split second decision has devastating consequences and on what should have been one of the most important s of her life she dies.
Evie is Scarlett’s best friend and she is devastated when Scarlett dies. There are things left unsaid between them and she just wants to turn back the clock and put things right.
Scarlett is still here watching her friend and family, but they just don’t know it. Now she can see things in a different way and wants to tell her friends.
Evie is determined not to forgive Nate, whom she blames for Scarlett’s death, but Nate keeps appearing - sometimes at the most unexpected times. There is something about him, he is not phased by her illness and soon she finds herself doing things she thought impossible. It’s almost like everyone close to her had given up on her.
This is a beautifully written book about love and loss, grief and friendship. It is an emotional read that has lots of feel good moments too.
A wonderful debut and I can’t wait to read Becky Hunter’s next book.
