Today is my stop on the Random Things blog tour for Stay by Jane Bailey.

Caitlin was meant to be having the perfect gap year, spending time in Italy with her boyfriend. However, they break up and as the pandemic takes hold decide to leave Italy.

Travelling through France and desperate to get away from Luke, Caitlin decides to hitch hike to try and get back to the UK.

When she is picked up by an English family, she thinks it’s perfect timing and even better when they offer for her to stay on at their home as a tutor especially as she is not really in a rush to get back to her family.

However, only a couple of days in and there are warning signs like why is there no internet and no one has a phone? When an older member of the household tells her to leave while she still can alarm bells start ringing and then her phone goes missing.

Set against the backdrop of the first lockdown, what has Caitlin got herself into and can she escape this strange family who seem to be hiding something?

I really enjoyed this book that was full of suspense and kept me guessing the whole way through.

Thank you to Random Things Tours for including me. Check out the banner below to follow the other stops on the tour.
