Today is my stop on the Ransom PR blog tour for The Mystery of Yew Tree House by Lesley Thomson.

In 1940, Adelaide Stride is raising her two young daughters Stevie and Rosa alone after her husband tragic death.

In the present day, Stella is a guest at Yew Tree House which is now let out for holidays and we meet the now elderly Stride sisters.

When Stella’s partners children discover a skeleton  in a pill box a murder investigation is started.

This book sweeps you back to World War Two and Adelaide’s world where danger and secrets were much closer to home than even the war.

I really liked the way that the story moves between present day and the 1940s and there are a fantastic array of characters including a grumpy colonel and a very suspicious vicar.

This is an amazing book, I couldn’t put it down. I highly recommend for anyone who enjoys a murder mystery and books set in WWII.

I think this is one of my favourite covers this year, I love the colours.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

In the background of this picture is a pillbox from the Second World War. There was an overgrown ditch in between and I couldn’t get much closer, but we still have lots of these around the countryside where I live.

Thank you to Ransom PR for including us. Check out the banner below to follow the other stops on the tour.
