I am really excited to be taking part in the blog tour for The Takedown by Carlie Walker today.
Sydney Swift is a CIA Agent who is used to working around the world. When she is told that her younger sister Calla is engaged to the heir to a notorious crime family, she is shocked and determined to stop the wedding.
However, working on a project this close to home is not easy and it’s even worse when your family have no idea what you do for work.
Sydney thinks stopping the wedding will be easy, but when it is brought forward to be a Christmas wedding she needs to find as much incriminating evidence on Johnny as possible. This is proving harder than she expects and not made better by Johnnys handsome bodyguard Nick.
It turns out that Nick is funny and the more time she spends with him, the more she thinks she might be falling in love.
Can her training help her out of this situation or are there bigger things at play?
I loved the Christmas vibes, wedding preparation and small town setting of this book and there were a lot of laugh out loud moments.
This such a great book, full of chemistry between the characters. I highly recommend it and I love the cover!
