Today is my stop on the Random things blog tour for Murder on the Menu by Alex Coombs.
Charlie Hunter has moved to the Chilterns for a fresh start and has bought restaurant. It seems like a perfect new beginning, but life in the countryside is not as quiet as Charlie expected.
Things get off to a bad start when a local builder is found dead. As an outsider, Charlie is automatically looked upon with suspicion.
Luckily, she had an ally in Jess the student waitress who had a part time job at the restaurant.
This was a great read that I sailed through. There are some brilliant characters and very funny moments. I am glad this is the first in a new series, as I am looking forward to reading more by this author.
Perfect for fans of cozy crime.
