Today is my stop on the Random Things blog tour for The Vicious Circle by Katherine St John.

Sveta is living in New York when she hears that her estranged uncle Paul has died suddenly and unexpectantky left everything to her and not to his wife.

Shocked and upset, she is asked to travel to Mexico immediately where Paul and his wife Kali lived on their luxury retreat called Xanadu.

Sveta can’t believe that Xanadu is now hers and at first she feels like she has stepped into paradise. However, there is a darker side and Sveta soon realises that those residing there are like a cult.

With this in mind she wants to leave, but suddenly finds herself trapped. There is only one person who could help, but can they really be trusted or is she stuck?

This was such a gripping book and I found I didn’t want to put it down. It is dark, fast paced and full of twists and turns. I loved it!

I would recommend for thriller fans.
