Today is my stop on the Random Things blog tour for Breaststrokes by Margaux Vialleron.

I read The Yellow Kitchen by this author a while back and have been looking forward to Margaux Vialleron’s second book.

Breaststrokes is a novel about consent that is told in five parts over one weekend It follows four women whose lives collide on a Sunday.

Mathilda and Sarah Jenkins-Bell are sisters, whilst Cloe and Gertrude are strangers - the only thing in common being where they live. As there lives overlap they will start to see different sides to recent events.

This is such a powerful book that I couldn’t stop thinking about. Margaux Vialleron has a beautiful style of writing that swept me into the story and into the lives of these four women.

I also love this cover!

Check the trigger warnings, as this covers serious issues.
