Today is my stop on the Random Things blog tour for Hera by Jennifer Saint.
I have read all of Jennifer Saint’s books so far and love the way in which she bring Ancient Greece to life.
In her fourth book, Saint brings the goddess Hera back to life. The sister of Zeus, Hera helps to overthrow their father Cronus.
Hera imagines that she will rule alongside Zeus, but as they build their lives on Mount Olympus she starts to realise that perhaps Zeus is more similar to their father than she expected.
How will Hera carve her own place in this new world?
Hera is often portrayed as jealous and I did feel that in this retelling, but I thought that there were also different sides of her character shown.
I think this is my favourite book from Jennifer Saint so far.
A must read for fans of Greek mythology.
